The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
is a federal economic immigration program. The program has 3 minimum requirements, all of which must be met to become eligible:
- Skilled work experience;
- Language ability;
- Education;
If all the minimum requirements are met, an application is assessed based on the following factors:
- Age;
- Education;
- Work Experience;
- Whether you have a valid job offer;
- English and/or French language skills;
- Adaptability (how well the applicant is likely to settle in Canada);
These factors are part of a 100-point grid used to assess eligibility for this program. The current pass mark is 67 points.
- Skilled Work Experience: Skilled work experience must be on 1 of the following National Occupational Classification (NOC) job groups:
i. Managerial jobs (TEER 0)
ii. Professional jobs (TEER 1)
iii. Technical jobs and skilled trades (TEER 2 & 3)
Additionally, the work experience must be:
i. In the same type of job as the job to be used in the immigration application;
ii. Within last 10 years;
iii. Paid work;
iv. At least 1 year of continuous work or 1,560 hours (30 hours per week). - Language Ability: Language skills must be demonstrated by showing results of an approved language test in English or French for writing, reading, listening and speaking. The minimum score needed for being eligible is CLB 7. The test results must not be older than 2 years.
- Education: Minimum High School Diploma is required to be eligible. In case of foreign education, it must be supported by a completed Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from a designated organization.

- For 1 hour Consultation CAD 105;
Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) - CAD 4000
- 1st installment CAD 1000- Assistance with obtaining Educational Credential Assessment, one free session on IELTS examination strategy, determining appropriate National Occupation Classification, opening Express Entry Profile, counselling on how to prepare relevant documents for Permanent Resident application.
- 2nd Installment CAD 1500- After receiving Invitation to Apply and for initiating the preparation for Permanent Resident application.
- 3rd installment CAD 1500- Before the submission of a complete Permanent Resident application. Disbursement costs will also be collected from the clients at this stage.
