The Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
is a federal economic immigration program administered through the Express Entry System. Applicants with at least 1 year of Canadian work experience in certain jobs can apply for permanent residence in Canada through this program. To be eligible for immigration under this category, candidates must:
- Meet the required language levels in reading, writing, listening and speaking;
- Have at least 1 year of skilled full time work experience (1560 hours), or equivalent part time work experience, in Canada in the 3 years preceding application;
- Have gained the work experience while having legal status in Canada.
You will not be eligible for this program if:
- You’re a refugee claimant in Canada;
- You’re working without authorization;
- Your work experience was gained without temporary resident status in Canada.
The skilled work experience must be in a job under one of the following NOC classifications:
- Managerial jobs (TEER 0)
- Professional jobs (TEER 1)
- Technical jobs and skilled trades (TEER 2, and 3)
There is no education requirement for CEC; however, education can be used to improve rank in the Express Entry System.

Canadian Experience Class (CEC) - CAD 4000
- 1st installment CAD 1000- Assistance with obtaining Educational Credential Assessment, one free session on IELTS examination strategy, determining appropriate National Occupation Classification, opening Express Entry Profile, counselling on how to prepare relevant documents for Permanent Resident application.
- 2nd Installment CAD 1500- After receiving Invitation to Apply and for initiating the preparation for Permanent Resident application.
- 3rd installment CAD 1500- Before the submission of a complete Permanent Resident application. Disbursement costs will also be collected from the clients at this stage.
